Last year a study, funded by Advance Illinois, was rolled out which was critical of some schools, including Northern Illinois University and Illinois State State University, for having teacher preparation programs that did not produce great quality teachers. Some in the education community were critical of the methods used in the study. Now comes information which appears to more objectively document the shortfalls of some teacher prep programs.
